Job Title: Compliance Manager/Compliance Officer

  • In alignment with BU Chief Compliance Officer and Group Chief Compliance Officer

  • Supports the development of a corporate culture where ethical and compliant values-based behavior is embraced by all employees

  • Ensures that adequate policies, processes and procedures are in place, duly communicated in understood

  • Develops tools that facilitate decision-making process within the framework of the Code of Conduct

  • Supports the business with a view to have all processes, procedures and activities performed in accordance with Code of Conduct and relevant legal and regulatory requirements

  • Oversees system of ensuring compliance with Code of Conduct and related policies and applicable anti-corruption regulations

  • Assists (in and audit for compliance with Code of Conduct requirements

  • Works together with the Corporate Responsibility, Investor Relations

  • Develops, initiates, maintains and revises policies and procedures for the general operation of the Compliance Program and its related activities to prevent illegal, unethical, or improper conduct. Manages day-to-day operation of the Program

  • Acts as an independent review and evaluation body to ensure that compliance issues/concerns within the organization are being appropriately evaluated, investigated and resolved

  • Monitors, and as necessary, coordinates compliance activities of other departments to remain abreast of the status of all compliance activities and to identify trends. Prepare and conduct training within HQ and BUon compliance topics

  • Assists in the implementation of a third party screening methodology to conduct due diligence of future and existing vendors

  • Assists in the development and implementation of a Compliance education curriculum

  • Collaborates with other departments to direct compliance issues to appropriate existing channels for investigation and resolution. Participate in internal investigations

  • Identifies potential areas of compliance vulnerability and risk

  • Business Partners Due Diligence and Screening

  • Monitors the performance of the Compliance Program and relates activities on a continuing basis, taking appropriate steps to improve its effectiveness

  • Develops/implements corrective action plans for resolution of problematic issues, and provides general guidance on how to avoid or deal with similar situations in the future


  • At least 3-5 years of previous work experience in similar roles at a senior level in the fields of Compliance or Legal

  • Experienced with working in an international environment

  • Expertise in Compliance issues

  • Experience with cultural change management

  • Comfortable in presenting to senior audience and ability to influence and convince

  • Master Degree in Law, or related fields (additional Economics will be a plus)

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
